Domino Art Doll

I created the body for this domino art doll with the following materials: two wooden spools, a wooden clothespin, one poker chip and one full size domino. The face and wings are collage designs from Paper Imagery Designs. The paper hat is designer paper that I distressed with oil pastels. The face and wings have been laminated for durability. I colored the domino with alcohol inks and then stamped on the diamond pattern (Tim Holtz) with permanent ink. The doll is embellished with tulle trim, alphabet letters, black half pearls, eyelash yarn and a sequin sewn on with a seed bead.

If you have noticed that my photos have changed, here is an explanation. After my first posting, my cat playfully gave the Art doll a swat. I had to repair damage to her wonderful party hat and retake photos.

Domino Dreamer Doll Assemblage

I created this Domino Doll assemblage with the following materials: one 1.5 inch wooden block, one children's building block, four red dice, two antique wooden dominoes and a wooden ice cream spoon. The dolls face is a rubber stamp from Limited Edition called "young girl". The base block is rubber stamped with the words "Dreams really do come true" by Inkadinkadoo. I also used an Inkadinkado collage stamp on the other three sides of the base block. The doll is embellished with four rhinestones, eyelash yarn, butterfly wings from Dover and a paper punched crown. These have been laminated for durability.
